Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 29, 2026
Trilobyte Solutions LLC ("Trilobyte," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you visit trilobytes.io or engage us for technology and security consulting services.
By using our website or services, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our site or services.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide
We collect information you submit directly, such as when you book a consultation, request a proposal, send us a message, or sign an engagement agreement. This may include your name, business email address, phone number, company name, job title, and any details you share about your technology environment, security posture, or business needs.
Information collected automatically
When you visit our website, we and our service providers (Cloudflare, Google Workspace) may automatically collect limited technical information including IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, pages visited, and timestamps. This information helps us secure and improve the site.
Information from client engagements
During an engagement, we may receive access to systems, configurations, logs, documents, and other information necessary to deliver services. This information is treated as confidential under our engagement agreement.
2. How We Use Information
- To respond to inquiries, schedule consultations, and deliver services you request
- To prepare proposals, statements of work, and invoices
- To operate, secure, and improve our website and internal systems
- To communicate with you about your engagement, project updates, and relevant service offerings
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use client data to train machine learning models or for any purpose unrelated to delivering our services.
3. How We Share Information
We share information only as needed to operate our business and deliver services:
- Service providers who help us run our business — for example, Cloudflare (hosting, DNS, CDN), Google Workspace (email, calendar), Mercury (banking), Wave (invoicing), and similar tools — under their own privacy and security commitments.
- Subcontractors we may engage to deliver services, who are bound by confidentiality obligations equivalent to ours.
- Legal and regulatory authorities when required by law, subpoena, or to protect our rights, property, or safety.
- Business transfers — if Trilobyte is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
4. Data Security
Security is at the core of what we do. We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit and at rest where appropriate, access controls, and regular review of our practices. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
5. Data Retention
We retain your information only as long as necessary for the purposes described above, to comply with our legal obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce our agreements. Engagement records are typically retained for at least seven years to meet tax, accounting, and professional standards.
6. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. California residents have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), and EU/UK residents have rights under the GDPR/UK GDPR. To exercise any of these rights, email info@trilobytes.io. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
7. Cookies and Analytics
Our website uses minimal cookies, primarily for security and basic site functionality through Cloudflare. We do not currently use third-party advertising or behavioral tracking. If we add analytics in the future, we will update this policy and provide appropriate controls.
8. Children's Privacy
Our services are intended for businesses and not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us so we can delete it.
9. International Users
Trilobyte is based in California, United States. If you access our website or engage our services from outside the U.S., your information will be processed in the U.S. and other countries where our service providers operate. By using our services, you consent to this transfer.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated through the website or by email where appropriate.
